Team Morson
Manchester-based Morson Group employees, family and friends kicked started a charity cycle from Manchester to Blackpool to raise funds for Leukaemia Research and the Seashell Trust at the weekend (12th July).
Leading by example, Morson's Chief Executive, Ged Mason, saddled up at the home of the legendary football team Manchester United, Old Trafford, with 27 team members setting out to take on the invigorating 60 mile ride along country lanes to the finish line on south promenade, Blackpool.
Last year the Morson cyclists raised over £1,300 but with a growing number of enthusiastic riders, the UK's leading provider of Technical Engineering Human Resource Solutions team hoped to break their fundraising records and did so in style, raising over £3,000 for the charity.
Karen Bradley, a member of Morson's charity committee, commented: "We are extremely pleased with the support our colleagues have given to this year's bike ride. The whole team at Morson is really supportive of charity activity as each year we choose several causes to fundraise for that are close to the hearts of our colleagues."
Ged Mason, Morson's Chief Executive, commented: "Thanks to months of training we all had a fantastic day. there was a great air of team spirit which flowed through the thousands of cyclists. I am proud to say that we raised £3,000, which is what it was all about.
"Morson is proud to be able to support local and national charities in raising awareness and much-needed funds for deserving causes. We are all looking forward to the next charitable event."
