Team Morson Complete Charity Bike Ride!

The Team Begin!
On Friday 1st July, a team of 11 Morson Group staff set out on a 195 mile charity bike ride in aid of our two official charities ‘The Shannon Bradshaw Trust’ (shannonstrust.org.uk) and ‘Help for Heroes’ (helpforheroes.org.uk).
Beginning at Tatton Park, the journey started with a 71 mile cycle through Alderly Edge, Prestbury then on to the foothills of the Peak District where the team were greeted with a barbecue lunch at a colleague’s house in Sutton. Special thanks is in order for Morson Executive Manager Gareth Morris who made sure the team were well fuelled for their journey down through Congleton and onwards again to Madeley Heath.
Day 2 dawned fine and sunny and, with much map checking, the team were on their way again. The route went through a number of Cheshire villages including Audlem and Malpass, along the canal paths of Chester and finally ended at Park Gate in the Wirral. After 79 miles of laborious cycling and climbing the last hill of the day, one tired cyclist declared “If anybody says Cheshire is flat they are utterly wrong!”
By Day 3, the team had the end in their sights and finished their bike ride with a 45 mile cycle through Ellesmere Port, Delamere forest and back to Tatton Park.
We are very proud of the effort Team Morson have demonstrated. Team organiser and Morson Group Fleet Manager Dave Robinson says:
“We have had several successful bike rides over the years and are happy to have completed another route whilst raising money for two very worthy causes. These events are always a test of stamina and determination and every member of the team really gave their all, not only to finish the ride themselves, but to encourage and motivate other members of the team with them. We are pleased with the amount raised so far and would like to thank everyone who has contributed.”
This year the cyclists were given fantastic support and Morson would like to thank:

- Safe Aid Supplies for contributions towards cycle tops
- Suppliers Pay Matters, Danbro and Paystream for their generous sponsorship
- Mark Smith – Morson Account Manager and charity bike ride support driver!
